Kristina Brooke Daniele, known as Mom on the Rise in the blogosphere, is a former High School English Teacher and currently a web-designer/computer geek who loves to read, blog, read blogs, design websites, and eat cheez-its. Occasionally, she tries her hand at writing reviews, photography, knitting, crocheting, and weight loss. For Kristina, pregnancy brings, along with the joy and anticipation, Hyperemesis, bed-rest and fear- the result of several early term loses and one loss at 19.5 weeks. She finds her strength in knowledge and believes that all women should arm themselves with information so that they can better protect themselves and their unborn child. Kristina currently resides in New York with her husband Andrew and their beautiful 2.5-year-old.

In her spare time, she relaxes by writing about pop culture at Mamapop and Babble and by trying to convince anyone who will listen that bad is, indeed, the new good.
