The Queen of Goop!
It’s winter, the heat’s on, the air is dry and my skin feels like sandpaper. Ugh! I can’t stand the itching, so I have become a goopaholic. Moisturizers, lotions, creams have become my favorite things to tote. I have lip balm in my pockets and purse, lotions in my bedside table and desk drawer, hand cream in my handbag. As far as dry skin goes, I’m armed and dangerous!
Many pregnant women have itchy skin (among other skin issues), particularly around the belly and breasts during the second and third trimesters. This happens as the skin stretches to adapt to your body’s growth. If you fall into that category right now, you may be getting a double whammy of dry skin. Try slathering on the slippery stuff as often as possible.
I use goop several times a day and it seems to work some. I have found that no particular product or brand is better than another for me. I think it’s the repetitive application that helps. Anybody got other suggestions?
