FDA: Infant formula in the U.S. is safe
On November 28, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration reported that baby formula made in the U.S. is safe. The FDA has found tiny amounts of contaminants in some formula, but the amount is so low that it is not dangerous.
The FDA has been monitoring baby formula very carefully since September, when the world learned that some baby formula made in China was contaminated with a chemical called melamine.
